Description

Nasacort Aqueous Nasal Spray is usually safe to use with most medicines but there are a small number of medicines that are known to increase the effects of Nasacort Aqueous Nasal Spray. Appropriate studies performed to date have not demonstrated pediatric-specific problems that would limit the usefulness of triamcinolone nasal spray in children 2 years of age and older. However, safety and efficacy have not been established in children younger than 2 years of age. Geriatric Corticosteroids are hormones produced naturally by the adrenal glands that have many important functions, including control of inflammatory responses. Triamcinolone is a synthetic corticosteroid and is used as a nasal spray to reduce inflammation in the nasal passages (rhinitis). Nasacort Nasal Spray contains the active ingredient triamcinolone acetonide and belongs to a group of medicines known as corticosteroids. Nasacort Nasal Spray is used in the nose to treat nasal symptoms of allergic rhinitis in both adults and children over 2 years of age. Acid Reflux Heartburn is a burning feeling in the chest caused by stomach acid travelling up towards the throat (acid reflux). If it keeps happening, it’s called gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the one you missed. Systemic effects of nasal corticosteroids may occur, particularly when prescribed at high doses for prolonged periods. Nose/throat dryness or irritation, cough, sneezing, nosebleeds, and unpleasant taste/smell may occur. If any of these side effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.Steroids closely copy the effects of hormones normally produced by the adrenal glands, which are 2 small glands above the kidneys.

actuations in each nostril once a day; may increase after 4 to 7 days up to 4 actuations in each nostril once a day, or 2 actuations in each nostril twice daily, or 1 actuation in each nostril 4 times a day.

The adverse events reported in clinical trials with Nasacort Allergy most commonly involved the mucous membranes of the nose and throat. Visual disturbance may be reported with systemic and topical corticosteroid use. If a patient presents with symptoms such as blurred vision or other visual disturbances, the patient should be considered for referral to an ophthalmologist for evaluation of possible causes which may include cataract, glaucoma or rare diseases such as central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) which have been reported after use of systemic and topical corticosteroids.
